One can always wonder how this match would have ended if the day had been just a little bit longer on July 23. Perhaps Katarzyna Kawa would have kept going after taking the score from 0:3 to 3:3 in the second set.

Due to the darkness the match between the Pole and the Ukrainian Kateryna Kozlova couldn’t be finished on Friday.

On Saturday the resumed match seemed completely different though. From Kozlova’s point of view it was a race to win two sets without the possibility of losing any. A few minor mistakes happened to the Ukrainian but they didn’t impact the score. Kozlova defeated Kawa 5:7, 7:5, 6:1.

At 5 p.m. Kozlova will face her former compatriot, Maryna Zanevska, who has been representing Belgium for a short while.
